Oral and genital ulcers are the most common mucocutaneous manifestations of Behçet’s disease (BD), causing pain, difficulty with speaking and eating, and potential scarring. Topical treatments like sucralfate, corticosteroids, immunomodulators, pentoxifylline, and hyaluronic acid are effective for oral ulcers, while sucralfate and immunomodulators are used for genital ulcers. Laser therapies (ND:YAG, diode, CO2 ) have also shown promise for both types of ulcers. Treatment should be individualized based on ulcer severity and other BD manifestations, as these ulcers significantly impact the quality of life.
