As the Lingua Franca, English has brought various writing challenges into the limelight. The emergence of artificial intelligence provides a universal solution to this problem. The attention is enfolded to the rapid advancement of different AI writing tools that can assist in fluent learning of English, especially in the learner’s journey to writing fluency. The use of digital pedagogy emphasises the use of technology as a tool to enhance teaching and learning. It seeks to engage learners in active, collaborative and personalised learning experiences and to promote critical thinking, creativity and problem-solving skills. This chapter is articulated in three phases. The first phase briefly introduces the AI-based web application tool ChatGPT, writing skills and digital pedagogy. The second phase defines the exploratory study's purpose, method and findings. The third phase, i.e., the conclusion highlights the challenges and opportunities. ‘Learning by doing’ method was adopted to collect responses on the potentiality of the tool ChatGPT on the writing with various challenges and opportunities. The results reveal that this is a potentially convenient and intelligent tool to assist English language learners when used with ethical considerations.
