Measuring and Analyzing the Good Working Life
摘要
In this chapter, I describe how the three dimensions of the good working life—job satisfaction, work meaningfulness, and work psychological richness—were operationalized in the empirical study conducted for this book. I report example items and reliabilities for each survey questionnaire, as well as bivariate correlations among the three measures of the good working life. Additionally, I describe several alternative measures to operationalize the three dimensions of the good working life. I further describe the analytical approach—partial correlation analyses—used in the subsequent chapters of this book. The three dimensions of the good working life were assessed reliably and, despite relatively strong intercorrelations, represented distinct constructs.
