The digital transformation of the power system presents a range of innovative opportunities. One such opportunity is the concept of digital twins, which has gained significant attention in recent years, particularly for virtual representation of manufacturing processes and the modelling of critical assets. This paper provides an overview of the current state of digital twin technology and explores potential benefits and use cases in the context of transformers and reactors.
