This paper explores the integration of blockchain technology in the management and sharing of medical data, specifically through the use of encrypted Non-Fungible Tokens (NFTs) and the InterPlanetary File System (IPFS). We address the traditional challenges of data security, privacy, and interoperability in healthcare systems by proposing a blockchain-based framework. Our study evaluates various encryption algorithms-RSA, RC4, DES, ChaCha20, Blowfish, and AES-to determine the most suitable for encrypting metadata associated with NFTs. Additionally, we analyze transaction fees across four Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM)-compatible platforms-BNB Chain, Fantom, Polygon, and Celo-to assess their economic efficiency and suitability for healthcare applications. The research aims to demonstrate how blockchain technology can provide a secure, efficient, and transparent method for managing medical data, thus enhancing patient care and operational efficiency within healthcare systems.
