With reference to the definition of the system, manufacturing is done for products using discrete or continuous processes. The manufacturing performed with the discrete manufacturing processes produces products that are countable. There is a wide variety and number of such products that are produced all over the world. Some waste is associated with discrete manufacturing. The sustainability factor is an important element here and is explained as a case study: Product Life Cycle Code—PLCC in Part II, Chap.  5 .
