Soft-tissue sarcomas are a group of rare and complex tumors that arise predominantly in the extremities (eSTS). The treatment of sarcoma requires a multidisciplinary approach, and besides function and quality of life, survival and local recurrence rates are important outcomes to consider when choosing treatment options. Prediction models or nomograms can be useful tools to estimate these outcomes based on patient and tumor characteristics when used in conjunction with clinical judgment and individual patient factors. This chapter provides an overview of the different sarcoma prediction models and their application in clinical practice and discusses the validity and added value of these outcomes in the multidisciplinary management of eSTS.
