The following paper discusses the use of machine learning in identifying the emotional state of the user using analysis of their written and verbal speech. Most importantly, the model in question will do so passively, without prompting the user to describe how they are feeling. Furthermore, the following work will discuss the potential techniques in constructing this prototype, pitfalls and ways how it can be integrated into a broader health monitoring system.
