摘要

Unicompartmental knee arthroplasty (UKA) is a surgical procedure focused on resurfacing of the knee, differentiating it from total knee arthroplasty (TKA), which can also correct deformities. The advent of robotic assistance has enhanced precision in implant positioning, which is critical for implant survival. Patient selection is crucial, with severe obesity, large deformities, and instability being the most important contraindications. Radiographic examinations are essential for assessing deformity and osteoarthritis grade. Precise surgical techniques and digital planning are needed in all the different types of UKA to ensure successful outcomes.
