Planning of Femoral Osteotomy for Hip Dysplasia
摘要
Developmental dysplasia of the hip (DDH) involves various abnormalities in hip geometry, from simple dysplasia to complete dislocation, affecting the acetabulum, femur, and associated soft tissues. Femoral osteotomy is one of the surgical procedures that addresses these issues, with varus osteotomy correcting coxa valga and valgus osteotomy improving hip congruency in Perthes-like deformities. Preoperative planning and radiographic evaluation are critical for determining the appropriate correction angles and ensuring effective results. Other techniques such as rotational acetabular osteotomy and de-rotation of the femoral neck are employed to enhance joint stability and prevent arthritis. Postoperative outcomes show significant improvements in joint congruency and symptom relief.
