Against the backdrop of the global environmental emergency and growing levels of climate and eco-anxiety, this chapter explores narratives and methodologies that, without denying the extent and complexity of the problems and solutions, motivate citizens to act. The three authors present the results of their qualitative research undertaken in community projects, including a training course for youth workers, regenerative agriculture initiatives and activities blending art and ecology, showing how a focus on shared processing of the emotional impact of the huge biodiversity loss we are experiencing can empower participants to become change agents. They describe their use of eco-literacy approaches and permaculture principles to develop deeper conversations around the issues with people of all ages and share some results from their on-going action inquiry into radical tenderness, decolonial futures and taking collective thinking from sustainability to regeneration, from gratitude to reciprocity, and from denial to acceptance of our radical interdependence with nature.

摘要
