This chapter takes into consideration the main types of chemotherapeutic agents used in childhood cancer care and their main mechanisms of action and toxicities. Supportive care suggestions are identified as well as examples of best practice and resources to support multidisciplinary team working. Safe delivery of chemotherapy requires the correct medication delivered by the correct route at the correct time by appropriately trained personnel with correct supportive care available and with awareness of risks and possible toxicities both short and long term [1].
