So much has evolved over the past decades on the treatment of pediatric cancers with the development of new diagnostic and treatment modalities. The role of operative procedures has changed and has been updated, so has the requirement for adequate informed consent. In this chapter, we aim to first deal with the consent for surgical or operative procedures and then followed by the special considerations for consent for participation in research.
