Dimension-8 EFT Interpretation for the EWK Production of ZZjj in the Four-Lepton Channel
摘要
The present study focuses on Vector Boson Scattering (VBS) processes, which offer valuable insights into the Quartic Gauge Couplings (QGCs). While the Standard Model allows self-interactions of charged vector gauge bosons, interactions involving only neutral bosons are prohibited. The analysis utilizes Monte Carlo (MC) samples containing VBS events featuring two Z-bosons in association with two jets in the final state. The objective is to estimate the constraints on dimension-8 Effective Field Theory coefficients for the \(\mathcal {O}_{T,j}\) operators in the ZZjj channel at proton-proton collisions at center-of-mass energy of 13 TeV, using data of an integrated luminosity of 139 f \(b^{-1}\) . To mimic the geometry of the ATLAS detector, fully reconstructed MC samples with final-state configurations of 4 leptons and 2 jets are employed. This preliminary study paves the way for further analysis and provides valuable information on the behavior of QGCs in VBS processes.
