This proceeding is based on the work [1], where we discuss quantum anomalies and their effects on model building. We study an extension of the Standard Model by an (anomalous) \(Z'\) boson and analyze phenomenological implications. We focus on the anomalous magnetic moment ( \(g-2\) ) of the muon.
