This study aims to explore the role of interior design in performance arts academies and its impact on cultural enrichment, talent acquisition, and societal development in the city of Jeddah, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Known for its vibrant energy and artistic potential, Jeddah is a multicultural commercial city where the fusion of tradition and innovation in interior design can contribute to cross-cultural understanding and appreciation while enriching the local cultural fabric for future generations. To achieve this objective, a comprehensive literature review and analysis of precedent studies were conducted to identify effective space planning, innovative interior design, and successful material applications. The study employed a mixed-method approach, combining quantitative and qualitative methods. A quantitative method was used through an online survey to gather data on the perceptions of individuals regarding the influence of interior design on performance arts academies. Additionally, a qualitative method was employed through specialist interviews to gain insights from professionals in the field of interior design and performing arts. The study anticipates positive demonstration of the significant role of interior design in fostering creativity, collaboration, and cultural exchange within performance arts academies. It emphasizes the importance of integrating elements of the local culture and society into the design to bridge cultural gaps and promote appreciation of diverse art forms. The anticipated outcome is the development of a comprehensive framework for designing performance arts academies in Jeddah, considering the city’s cultural heritage, social context, and community needs. This framework is further expected to provide guidelines for creating spaces that facilitate creativity, collaboration, and cultural exchange.
