In this study, we investigate how extended reality (XR) and conversational artificial intelligence (AI) can enhance the user experience, showcasing successful implementations. We gathered data from Scopus, Science Direct, Google Scholar, and Web of Science, and conducted a bibliometric analysis to visualize and understand the relationships within the publications. To perform a comprehensive systematic review of the literature, we utilized several tools, including Harzing’s Publish or Perish, Google NGram, Vicinitas, VOSviewer, CiteSpace, BibExcel, and maxQDA. Finally, we offer suggestions for future work on further improving user experiences with these technologies.
