This study examines the efficacy of accessible maps in enhancing the user experience of visually impaired persons (VIPs) within park and green space settings. Conventional navigation systems frequently overlook the unique requirements of VIPs in these environments. Our field observations reveal a predominant focus on accessibility designs catering to individuals with mobility impairments, with limited attention dedicated to optimizing accessibility for VIPs. The proposed accessibility map endeavors to provide VIPs with an alternative means of perceiving park landscapes through the utilization of technology, including audio cues. By addressing this gap, this study contributes to advancing the inclusivity and spatial equity of VIPs within green spaces.
