RoboInsight: Towards Deploying an Affordable Museum Guide Robot with Natural Language Processing, Image Processing and Interactive Engagement

In the contemporary era, museums serve as crucial repositories of cultural heritage, offering visitors a gateway to the past. As technology evolves, there is a growing need for innovative solutions that enhance the museum experience. This paper explores the history and significance of integrating robotics, image processing, and natural language processing in a museum guide bot. Our project “RoboInsight” presents a pioneering solution, combining line following capabilities for precise navigation, image processing for exhibit recognition, and multilingual chatbot functionality. Visitors can interact with the guide bot in Bangla or English, gaining insightful information about museum exhibits through seamless conversations. This innovation not only enriches the visitor experience but also provides an accessible and engaging platform for cultural exchange. Despite challenges, including navigation complexities and language nuances, the potential benefits are vast. The project not only addresses current museum-related needs but also sets the stage for future advancements in interactive cultural museum robot exploration.
