摘要

Simulating future situations using your imagination and thereby exercising your creative thinking is an integral part of the process of understanding the world. Adequate understanding of the world is not possible without harmonious development of a person’s emotional sphere. The correction program “Face of Aggression” has been designed and tested using the method of psychotherapy by creative self-expression invented by Mark Burno as a basis. This program represents a psychological training. To assess the effectiveness of the “Face of Aggression” correction program aimed at reducing aggression and anxiety levels among adolescents. The training is aimed at harmonizing the personality. Methods: Trait Anxiety Scale designed for pupils aged 10–16 by Anna Prikhozhan. The Buss-Perry Aggression Questionnaire. The Toronto Alexithymia Scale. The Hand Test. Twenty-six teenagers, aged from 11 to 14, participated in the study, forming two training groups. The control group consisted of 35 teenagers aged from 11 to 14, who were lectured on the typology of people’s characters according to Burno. The training was conducted by a female graduate of the Clinical Psychology Department of the Dubna State University. The effectiveness of the “Face of Aggression” correction program was confirmed. By lowering the level of aggression, a personality becomes more harmonized. A more harmonious personality, in turn, is able to realize their imagination. In our training, we did not set the specific goal of developing imagination. However, since art therapy was chosen as a method, the training participants developed their ability to create images and enhanced their creative thinking. The proposed tool for harmonization of a person’s emotions could prove beneficial in the practices of clinical psychologists, counseling psychologists, and specialists in related fields.
