Chapter 1 presents the book’s primary objective and sub-objectives, contributing significantly to its fulfillment. It also poses the research questions, which are linked to the hypotheses. Furthermore, the conceptual and theoretical framework of the book is presented. Chapter 1 details the research procedure and methodology to fulfill the book’s objectives. The basis for analyzing primary and secondary data in the book is a systematic literature review of Czech and foreign sources related to digitalization and its impact on human resource management. For the book, general theoretical research methods were used, including analysis, synthesis, deduction, comparison, and specific methods, which include quantitative methods associated with the hypothetico-deductive approach (i.e., statistical tests) and qualitative methods (i.e., individual in-depth interviews and case studies).
