The main trends pertaining to the application of IT in Food and Industry include automation, robots, artificial intelligence, big data analytics, and the internet of things or IoT. 0. Thus, these trends have the opportunity to upgrade traceability, diminish loss, optimize resource utilization, and raise food supply chain effectiveness. Implementation of Food and Industry 5 to enhance the productivity of Wimpy’s menu items. That involves the assistance of a number of actors that include farmers in the food-producing industries; food distributors; food retailers, and consumers. The IoT and analytics are enabling the goal of raising food output and reducing food wastage. The roles that have been unveiled in culinary technology by the 3D printing technology are interesting and exciting and include the following; The printer applies edible pigments such as purees, sometimes doughs or cultured flesh to make partitions and design cut portions. This is suited to give personalised nutrition and is favourable to lowering food waste. Offering astronauts a diet of different foods in the required quantity through 3D printed food may take space travel to a new level. However, both the affordability of printers and the variety of material to construct these structures out of is limited at the moment. Besides, there is a necessity to adopt suitable measures in order to ensure the safety of the used foods. Nonetheless, there are challenges that 3D food printing still has to overcome; nevertheless, 3D food printing has the possibility to change the face of the future of food. Thus, the implementation of these changes will make it possible to work towards the goal of attaining both environmental sustainability and food security.
