Diversity, equity, inclusion, and spirituality (DEIS) are discussed in relation to rising globalization. Organizations increasingly need DEIS, as the world becomes more diverse. This chapter proposes a name identity framework to help organizations build DEIS initiatives that amplify a climate of inclusion and belonging by promoting the acceptance of unique, culturally distinctive names. The framework is based largely on optimal distinctiveness theory and sound principles of leadership-followership. The deep connotations of—and emotions connected with—names and their relationship with the spiritual are explored.
