Conscious human behavior is inherently intentional, using means to achieve ends, regardless of the perceived rationality or success rate by others. Breaking down means and ends into possible avenues of choice and outcome, the objectives of Diversity policies can be more readily siloed into guidelines for a variety of institutional and individualistic purposes. Using frameworks of self-ownership, consent, mutual benefit, game theory, and the subjective theory of value, the dichotomy of voluntary versus involuntary human action is applicable to Diversity interpretation as well as any social exchange between two or more individual humans. This entry argues that Diversity by any process other than voluntary exchange is a fool’s errand.

摘要
