Leader Humility in Workplace Spirituality
摘要
This exegetical entry seeks to explore Philippians 2:1–11 in order to gain understanding of the biblical view on humility. Intertexture analysis is used to study the text through oral–scribal intertexture, historical intertexture, social intertexture, and (d) cultural intertexture. The three important aspects of spirituality that stand out are the following: love, unity, and humility. Love, unity, and humility if applied to workplace spirituality do not only cater for employee interests, but also for overall benefits of organizations. Emphasizing these traits is likely to be an absolute paradigm shift especially in organizations where financial benefit or performance is the major measure of success. Leader humility is a critical trait because it shifts the power to exercise decision-making and action taking from leaders to employees, enhancing various employee and organizational outcomes.
