No one better than an infertile couple can describe the unique situation at the base of the desire for a child and the will to undertake an assisted medical procedure. Each individual within the two-person story has “a family history, a personal clinical and emotional experience, as well as a baggage of social relationships.” With this are associated the experiences of the previous relational stories of the individuals and the story of the couple.
