Coping with Infertility: Validity of Psychosexual Counseling

Most couples choose coping strategies to deal with infertility and mitigate the resulting mental pressure. Coping strategies are a set of cognitive, emotional, and behavioral efforts to interpret, analyze, and modify a stressful situation [1]. Lazarus et al. define coping as a response to mental pressure such as infertility. Such a reaction is a personal attempt to overcome harmful, threatening, or difficult circumstances [2].
