The lateral spinothalamic tract (STT) connects the nociceptive and thermal afferents in the posterolateral cord to the ventral posterior lateral nucleus of the thalamus. It runs anterior to the spinocerebellar tract, and posterior to the medial lemniscus. In the pons, STT is anterior to the dentato-rubro-thalamocortical tract, and STT moves more laterally in the midbrain, keeping posterior to the medial lemniscus, and terminating in the ventral posterior lateral nucleus of the thalamus.

摘要

The lateral spinothalamic tract (STT) connects the nociceptive and thermal afferents in the posterolateral cord to the ventral posterior lateral nucleus of the thalamus. It runs anterior to the spinocerebellar tract, and posterior to the medial lemniscus. In the pons, STT is anterior to the dentato-rubro-thalamocortical tract, and STT moves more laterally in the midbrain, keeping posterior to the medial lemniscus, and terminating in the ventral posterior lateral nucleus of the thalamus.
