The medial longitudinal fasciculus (MedLF) is medial and bilateral in the posterior brainstem, anterior to the periaqueductal gray matter that is around the cerebral aqueduct. The MedLF connects nuclei involvement in eye movement, including the oculomotor, with the trochlear and abducens nuclei.
