Frontal Caudate Projections
摘要
The frontal caudate projections (FCP) connect the head and anterior body of the caudate nucleus to the frontal lobe. FCP course anteriorly from the lateral border of the head of the caudate, lateral to the frontal horn and adjacent to the dorsomedial subthalamic projections. These compose part of the superior fronto-occipital fasciculus. Anteriorly, FCP fans out to pars orbitalis, pars triangularis, and orbitofrontal gyri. Running medially within the anterior limb of the internal capsule, FCP also extends to the superior frontal gyrus, adjacent to the dorsomedial subthalamic projections.
