The frontal aslant tract (FAT) connects the superior frontal cortex to the inferior frontal cortex with a vertical course. The superior end forms an anteroposterior fan terminating in the superior frontal gyrus, in both the cortical lateral and medial surface. More inferiorly the frontal aslant tract lies medial to the superior longitudinal fasciculus (SLF II) and arcuate fasciculus. The inferior part of the frontal aslant tract terminates in the inferior frontal cortex including the ventral precentral gyrus, the pars opercularis, and the pars triangularis.

摘要

The frontal aslant tract (FAT) connects the superior frontal cortex to the inferior frontal cortex with a vertical course. The superior end forms an anteroposterior fan terminating in the superior frontal gyrus, in both the cortical lateral and medial surface. More inferiorly the frontal aslant tract lies medial to the superior longitudinal fasciculus (SLF II) and arcuate fasciculus. The inferior part of the frontal aslant tract terminates in the inferior frontal cortex including the ventral precentral gyrus, the pars opercularis, and the pars triangularis.
