Third Branch of the Superior Longitudinal Fasciculus
摘要
The third branch of the superior longitudinal fasciculus (SLF III) connects the inferior frontal lobe with the inferior parietal cortex. Its anterior cortical terminations are in the pars triangularis, opercularis, middle, and inferior precentral gyrus (dorsal and ventral laryngeal areas). From there, SLF III projects to the supramarginal gyrus and posterior superior temporal gyrus at the level of the temporoparietal junction. SLF III runs lateral to the arcuate fasciculus along its whole length.
