The arcuate fasciculus (AF) connects the temporal lobe with the frontal lobe, in a C-shape. Running lateral to the inferior fronto-occipital fasciculus, its anterior temporal termination lies in the inferior and basal temporal gyri, with another termination in the middle and middle superior temporal gyrus. In the posterior temporal lobe, the arcuate fasciculus sweeps superiorly deep to the supramarginal and angular gyri, lateral to the middle longitudinal fasciculus and medial to the superior longitudinal fasciculus III. Anteriorly, AF extends into middle and inferior part of the precentral gyrus (dorsal and ventral laryngeal areas), the pars opercularis, triangularis, orbitalis, and the posterior middle frontal gyrus.

摘要
