This chapter displays the anatomy of the brainstem and cerebellum, in the sagittal plane. These two-dimensional sagittal slices of the left side of the brainstem and cerebellum start laterally at the level of the lateral border of the cerebellar hemisphere and progress medially to the midline in 38 slices. For continuity, the diencephalon is included in this series, as well as in the cerebral hemisphere series in Chap. 9 . Each slice is 0.47 mm with an interslice interval of 1.41 mm.
