The vulva is the set of female external genital organs. It can be affected by various pathological conditions. Its anatomy needs to be known and explored using an adequate imaging protocol in order to precisely address the patient’s issue. Among benign vulvar conditions, cysts are particularly common. MRI helps in their precise characterization, facilitating appropriate treatment planning. Malignant affections are mainly represented by squamous cell carcinoma. MRI is useful in tumor assessment and staging according to the FIGO classification, guiding therapeutic decisions.
