Time to Recurrence of Meningiomas
摘要
Meningiomas show variable tendency to recur, even after initial complete resection, making the clinical history of the patient often long, marked by observation periods, one or more operations and adjuvant radiation treatments. The possibility to theoretically predict the time to recurrence of a meningioma, along with the assessment of patient and pathology features, can assist the multidisciplinary team in the choice of the optimal strategy of treatment. This chapter discusses the main factors affecting the time to recurrence of meningiomas and the clinical implications.
