摘要

Surgery represents the first line of treatment for symptomatic meningiomas with the goal of a maximal safe tumor resection (Simpson grade I) while preserving neurological function. Several factors patient and pathology related affect the surgical procedure, as such as brain and bone invasion, dural infiltration. This chapter discusses the main factors affecting the decision strategy of an aggressive versus more conservative surgery for meningiomas.
