This paper explores gender differences and similarities related to entrepreneurship within European countries, using the latest data from the Global University Entrepreneurial Spirit Students Survey (GUESSS). We examine factors including entrepreneurial self-efficacy, resilience, life satisfaction, machiavellianism, narcissism, performance outcomes, and lean startup practices. Key findings reveal (among others) significant differences in economic and social performance between genders, with males typically reporting better economic performance and females exhibiting stronger social performance. The implications of these results are critical, suggesting the need for tailored support mechanisms to enhance female entrepreneurs’ performance and reduce gender differences in entrepreneurship.
