We discuss how knowledge is thought to be represented in human memory, in one influential conception, semantic networks. Our predictive model works quite differently. We ask if it can account for the results of an experimental study of human memory, Lewis, C. H., & Anderson, J. R. (1976) Interference with real world knowledge.
