Gastric Disorders
摘要
The stomach is a muscular organ that forms a portion of the upper gastrointestinal tract. It serves as the entry point for digestion of ingested food and is critical to a normally functioning digestive process. It is prone to many of the same disorders and disease processes as the remainder of the alimentary tract, including volvulus, infection, inflammation, erosions and ulcer disease, and neoplasm. This chapter will discuss the anatomy of the stomach and will touch on many of the disorders that may affect gastric function.
