Training in Robotic Liver Surgery

Just as the development of laparoscopic surgery in the 1980s revolutionised general surgery, robotics promises to redefine the minimally invasive surgical approach [38]. However, with the development of new techniques in surgery come questions of how best to train and privilege surgeons [31]. A proposed solution to the concern regarding morbidity associated with the learning curve is using simulation to negate the risk to patients [6].
