Different Approaches in Robotic Liver Surgery: Pure Robotic Approach
摘要
The implementation of robotic liver surgery is slowly rising, yet some concerns remain. One of these concerns is the absence of a robotic device for parenchyma transection, such as the CUSA device. Several authors have described their experience with a purely robotic approach for parenchyma transection without the use of the use of laparoscopic sealing devices or CUSA. The purely robotic approach omits the necessity of an experienced bedside surgeon. Future investigations need to point out the situations that may benefit from a combined robotic–laparoscopic approach. In this chapter, we focus on the pure robotic approach with a single console surgeon and in the next chapter the console surgeon and bedside surgeon (Robolap) approach is discussed.
