Patient Preparation

The organisation of the operating theatre represents a fundamental step in order to contain the robotic platform and all the stuff necessary to correctly perform the surgical procedure, including all the equipment and necessary devices [1–4]. The space should be organised to allow the contemporary presence of surgeons, circulating nurses, and anaesthesiologists with all their materials and instruments necessary to allow the surgical procedure, considering the necessity in some cases to divide the usual space available for anaesthesiologists with the space occupied for the docking of the robot [5] (Fig. 4.1).
