Robotic Left Hemihepatectomy

Minimally invasive left hemihepatectomy is considered a medium complexity procedure. The robotic approach is feasible and safe in experienced hands. The benefits of a robotic approach for this major liver resection are illustrated by a lower conversion rate as compared to conventional laparoscopic surgery. In this chapter the technical aspects of a robotic left hemihepatectomy are described in detail.
