Pathology of Pulmonary Aspergillosis

This chapter provides the reader with the tools to morphologically identify Aspergillus species in surgical and cytology specimens. The pathologic features of aspergilloma, invasive pulmonary aspergillosis, and allergic bronchopulmonary aspergillosis are detailed with mention of other related entities. Histologic mimics and ancillary testing modalities that may be applied to paraffin-embedded tissue are also described.
