Clinical and diagnostic algorithms are also essential components of multidisciplinary teamwork. The written documents may facilitate a standardized approach to the patients and serve as local guidelines. While updated scientific information is included in these algorithms, the local factors including diagnostic capabilities of the given institution, fungal surveillance results, antifungal susceptibilities, and drug availability should also be provided. The sequences and timings of every diagnostic and therapeutic intervention may guide the practitioners to properly manage the patients.
