Autonomous Robotic Response Systems: Effective Strategies Based on Mean Values
摘要
The paper analyzes the effectiveness of using various concepts of mean values, including new PN-means, in the problem of choosing a moving strategy for a robot responding to incoming signals from points located on the same straight line. The strategy is to determine the point or area to which the robot should return each time. The effectiveness of 11 different strategies was assessed by the average, maximum and root mean square time of arrival of the robot to the signal points, as well as by the total distance traveled by the robot. A computational experiment was carried out, which confirmed the known theoretical estimates of classical means efficiency, and also made it possible to draw conclusions regarding the applicability of new PN-means. The new means, which represent a segment, as well as the center of this segment, can be recommended for use in such problems as a balanced solution that gives good results on all four performance indicators.
