Clustering is an important technique in exploratory data analysis. There are different types of clustering and the focus in this book is on partitional hard clustering. We considered various models of the clustering problem and demonstrated that the nonconvex nonsmooth optimization approach provides a model with a significantly smaller number of decision variables than other approaches.

摘要
