Nutraceuticals in Inflammatory Autoimmune Diseases

Inflammatory autoimmune diseases are characterized by dysregulated immune responses associated with chronic inflammation. While conventional medical interventions are essential for disease management, emerging research highlights the potential remedial effects of nutrients in ameliorating symptoms and improving overall well-being. An extensive review of the role that nutrients play in reducing inflammatory autoimmune disorders is given in this book chapter. This chapter examines the therapeutic effects of particular nutrients, bioactive chemicals, and dietary patterns in conditions such as inflammatory bowel disease, psoriasis, systemic lupus erythematosus, and rheumatoid arthritis by looking at a wide spectrum of scientific literature.. Omega-3 fatty acids, vitamins, polyphenols antioxidants and fiber are among the nutritional factors examined for their anti-inflammatory, immunomodulatory, and tissue-protective properties.
