摘要

This research aims to explore the theme of internationalization in higher education (Knight, The internationalization of higher education in the 21st century, 2008; Cosnefroy, L., & Nguyen, T. (2020). La transformation numérique de l’enseignement supérieur: Enjeux et perspectives. Revue Internationale des Technologies en Pédagogie Universitaire, 17(2), 34–45) in the digital age through the prism of mediology (Debray, R. (1991). Cours de médiologie générale. Gallimard). The main objective is to analyze the complex dynamics between internationalization and digital transformation (Friedman, T. L. (2005). The world is flat: A brief history of the twenty-first century. Farrar, Straus and Giroux; Tapscott, D. (2016). The digital economy: Rethinking promise and peril in the age of networked intelligence (2nd ed.). McGraw-Hill Education) in the field of higher education, highlighting the various media influences that shape this evolution. The digital transformation has profoundly changed the nature of higher education, facilitating cross-border collaboration (Peyrony, J. (2020). L’internationalisation de l’enseignement supérieur à l’ère du numérique. Presses Universitaires de France), diversifying learning modes, and accelerating the dissemination of knowledge. Mediology, as a discipline, offers a multidisciplinary approach to examining the interactions between media, culture, and institutions. In the context of internationalized higher education, this mediological perspective will explore the changes induced by digital technologies, both in teaching methods and in institutional structures. Through a case study on the Moroccan university, the study aims to analyze how these transformations are mediated by examining in particular the roles of online platforms, social networks, and information technologies in the process of internationalization. The analyses will also address the challenges and opportunities presented by this convergence between internationalization and digitalization, while considering the cultural, linguistic, and pedagogical implications of this evolution, taking into account the various mediations that influence knowledge transmission on a global scale.
